The Surface Urban Energy and Water Balance Scheme (SUEWS): Evaluation in Los Angeles and Vancouver.Parameter source

Where: Table 2(a), Conif. Trees column, p. 223

Gives Si = 1.3 mm, D0,i = 0.013 mm and b = 1.71 for coniferous trees. The footnotes identify these as literature values rather than a fit to an evaluation city.

Where: Section 2.5, Equations 18 and 19, p. 224

Equation 18 assigns the exponential drainage function to unirrigated vegetation, while Equation 19 assigns the power-law form to paved surfaces, roofs and irrigated vegetation; the paragraph below states that the maximum rates and coefficients come from literature.

This is the parameter publication. It supports the exact stored tuple, literature method, generic place and land-cover applicability; it does not make London the evidence location.

SUEWS v2016a release workbook: SUEWS_SiteInfo18_Lo.xlsmLater compilation

Where: SUEWS_Veg, London evergreen row 10

The pinned release workbook carries the evergreen tuple under the compressed "EveTr" surface token in its London application row. The downloaded workbook bytes have SHA-256 e1a34632b0ab6b1aa379b8329a92ee584d130f54941c3d9eeca3e3303cde1d42.

This is later application and migrated-row identity evidence. It explains the retained London origin, stable path and legacy identity but is not evidence that the parameter was determined in London.

Assessment findings

Namesupported
The article's "Conif. Trees" header and the workbook's compressed "EveTr" token identify the surface class but do not prescribe an unspaced display spelling. "Evergreen Tree" is the normalized human-readable name, with the unsupported sample-run qualifier removed.
Targetsupported
Table 2(a) publishes the values by SUEWS surface type, including Conif. Trees.
Valuessupported
The Conif. Trees column gives storage capacity 1.3 mm, maximum drainage rate 0.013 mm, and drainage coefficient 1.71. Equation 18 assigns unirrigated vegetation the exponential drainage form, matching the stored equation choice and coefficients.
Sourcesupported
Järvi et al. publish the complete evergreen drainage tuple; the pinned v2016a workbook later republishes it in the London evergreen row and is application and identity evidence, not the parameter source.
Placesupported
The values are presented by generic surface type, not as London observations. London is the later workbook application retained as origin and in the stable record path.
Representativenesssupported
Generic scope reflects a literature parameter set offered for the SUEWS coniferous-tree class without a city- or site-specific determination.
Applicable Scalesupported
Table 2(a) defines the tuple for the coniferous-tree land-cover class rather than for a whole neighbourhood, an individual tree, or a plant tissue specimen.
Methodsupported
Section 2.5 says the maximum drainage rates and coefficients are taken from the literature, and Table 2(a) footnotes the individual values to earlier publications.
Identitysupported
The record contains the one coniferous-tree drainage tuple published in Table 2(a); its stable path, London origin, legacy ID, target, source, and values preserve the migrated row identity.

Scientific note

Järvi et al. publish this tuple as a generic SUEWS coniferous-tree land-cover parameter set. The v2016a workbook later carries it in the London evergreen application row. That later compilation explains the stable London path, origin and legacy identity but does not turn the tuple into London city evidence. The active display name is normalized to "Evergreen Tree"; the stored values, source, target, legacy ID and origin are unchanged.
