The Surface Urban Energy and Water Balance Scheme (SUEWS): Evaluation in Los Angeles and Vancouver.Parameter source

Where: Table 2(a), Grass column, p. 223

Gives Si = 1.9 mm, D0,i = 0.013 mm and b = 1.71 for grass. The footnotes identify these as literature values rather than a fit to an evaluation city.

Where: Section 2.5, Equations 18 and 19, p. 224

Assigns the exponential drainage form to unirrigated vegetation and states that the maximum rates and coefficients are taken from the literature in Table 2.

This is the parameter publication. It supports the exact grass tuple, literature method, generic place and land-cover applicability; it does not make London the evidence location.

SUEWS v2016a release workbook: SUEWS_SiteInfo18_Lo.xlsmLater compilation

Where: SUEWS_Veg, London Grass row 12, cells A12:AF12

The row labels the surface Grass and origin London and repeats wet threshold 1.9, drainage equation 2, D0 0.013 and b 1.71. The workbook bytes have SHA-256 e1a34632b0ab6b1aa379b8329a92ee584d130f54941c3d9eeca3e3303cde1d42.

The release artifact preserves the London application and migrated-row identity; it does not make the generic literature tuple a London measurement.

Assessment findings

Namesupported
Järvi et al. identify the surface category as grass, and the later release workbook labels the matching row Grass. The active name removes the unsupported sample-run qualifier without changing the stable path or legacy identity.
Targetsupported
Table 2(a) publishes the values by SUEWS surface type, including grass.
Valuessupported
The grass column gives a storage threshold of 1.9 mm, maximum drainage rate 0.013 mm and coefficient 1.71. Section 2.5 assigns unirrigated vegetation the exponential drainage equation, and the later London release row repeats the complete stored tuple, including drainage equation selector 2.
Sourcesupported
Järvi et al. publish the complete stored grass drainage tuple. The v2016a workbook is later application and migration-lineage evidence, not a London measurement or fit.
Placesupported
Järvi et al. present the values by generic surface type, not as London observations. London is retained only in origin and the stable path because the later release workbook applies the tuple in its London Grass row.
Representativenesssupported
Generic scope reflects a literature parameter set offered for the SUEWS grass class, without a city- or site-specific determination.
Applicable Scalesupported
Table 2(a) defines the tuple for the grass land-cover class rather than for a whole neighbourhood, an individual plant or a material specimen.
Methodsupported
Section 2.5 states that the maximum drainage rates and coefficients are taken from the literature, and Table 2(a) footnotes the values to earlier publications.
Identitysupported
The stable path, origin London and legacy ID preserve the migrated row identity. The v2016a SUEWS_Veg London Grass row repeats the exact values and equation selector.

Scientific note

Järvi et al. publish this tuple as a generic SUEWS grass land-cover parameter set assembled from literature. The later v2016a workbook applies the unchanged tuple in its London Grass row. London therefore remains as stable-path and origin lineage, while active place and representativeness describe the generic evidence. No parameter, target, source, legacy identity, origin or record path has changed.
