| Name | supported The immutable legacy porosity row 34240010 is explicitly named Dummy value; the stable display name preserves that configuration identity. |
|---|---|
| Target | supported The legacy row assigns the compatibility slot to Evergreen Tree, matching the land_cover.evetr target even though the slot supplies no active parameter. |
| Values | not applicable The record intentionally has an empty active parameters mapping. Its preserved -999 legacy sentinels mark porosity as unused for evergreen trees and are not exported as parameter values. |
| Source | supported The adapter makes no literature-value claim. Source unreferenced is the honest declaration for a compatibility row whose only numeric content is inactive legacy sentinels. issue #295 |
| Place | supported The compatibility adapter is generic and has no observational place. |
| Representativeness | supported Generic correctly describes a configuration adapter that is not evidence for a site, city or region. |
| Applicable Scale | not applicable The empty adapter supplies no active parameter whose application scale could be asserted. |
| Method | supported Assumed is appropriate for a retained configuration compatibility slot with no active parameter and no publication-derived value. |
| Identity | supported Stable path, name, target, legacy ID 34240010, origin note, dangling legacy reference and -999 sentinels preserve the exact migrated row identity without presenting the sentinels as evidence values. |
The immutable pre-migration row at https://github.com/UMEP-dev/SUEWS-database/blob/053c004ef46c14194fdc39bbb8932908db294abd/db/porosity.yml#L23-L29 records an Evergreen Tree Dummy value with PorosityMin and PorosityMax both -999 and says porosity is used only for deciduous trees. This stable record is retained as an empty compatibility/configuration adapter: its parameters mapping remains empty, the sentinels remain only under legacy, source stays unreferenced, and method assumed records that no measured, fitted or literature value is claimed.
