Where: Zenodo Input_met.zip/Input_met/SUEWS_Veg.txt, grass codes 860 and 865
Applies LaiEq 1 with growth_lai 0.04, growth_gdd 0.002, senescence_lai -1.5 and senescence_sdd 0.0005 to the archived Helsinki grass/low-vegetation configurations.
Where: Supplement Table 1, updated LAI parameterisation for deciduous trees, p. 1
Publishes the same four coefficients specifically for deciduous trees; it does not describe a separate grass fit or derivation.
Carries the same tuple under the deciduous-tree identity described by the publication.
| Name | supported Grass, LaiEq = 1 preserves the grass configuration identity explicitly stored by the archived SUEWS vegetation rows; it does not claim that the associated article derived a grass parameter set. |
|---|---|
| Target | supported The archived rows apply the coefficients to SUEWS grass/low-vegetation land-cover inputs. |
| Values | supported The citable Zenodo configuration stores the exact four coefficients and applies them to grass. The associated supplement publishes the same tuple only for updated deciduous trees, establishing that the grass row is configuration reuse rather than a separately derived grass parameterisation. |
| Source | supported The Zenodo dataset is the direct exact-value source for the executable grass configuration. The journal article is retained as validation of the tuple's deciduous-tree lineage, not exported as though it published a grass derivation. issue #226 |
| Place | supported The archived surface rows identify the configuration as a Helsinki application. |
| Representativeness | supported City records the reach of the archived Helsinki model configuration, not an observational claim that the four coefficients were independently determined from grass across Helsinki. |
| Method | supported Literature denotes direct transcription of the citable archived configuration. No new fit or grass-specific derivation is asserted. |
| Identity | supported The separate grass record is retained because the archive deliberately selects the tuple for grass, while the related deciduous record preserves the parameter class described by the paper. |
The missing grass publication is not a blocker because the canonical claim is narrower: this is an archived executable configuration reuse, not a grass-specific scientific determination. The public Zenodo input explicitly applies the four values to grass, while the article explains their deciduous-tree lineage. Using the dataset as the record source makes both roles visible without inventing a grass derivation or requiring an author statement to confirm what the archived input says.
