CO2 uptake of urban vegetation in a warming Nordic cityParameter source

Where: Table B.1, Grass soil depth and SWCmax, p. 11

Publishes Grass soil depth 0.35 m and SWCmax 0.15 m.

Where: Appendix B.4, Low vegetation, p. 12

Describes the single urban-lawn observation site used for the grass/low-vegetation parameterisation.

Data used in manuscript CO2 uptake of urban vegetation in a warming Nordic cityParameter source

Where: Zenodo Input_met.zip/Input_met/SUEWS_Soil.txt, code 70

Stores depth 349 mm, capacity 150 mm, conductivity 0.0005 and density 1.16.

Where: Zenodo Input_met.zip/Input_met/SUEWS_Veg.txt, codes 860 and 865

Assigns SoilTypeCode 70 to both Helsinki lawn and Helsinki mixed-low-vegetation surface rows.

Below GrassRelated record

Carries the same code-70 tuple under the separate Below Grass model identity.

Assessment findings

Namesupported
Below low vegetation preserves the separate mixed-low-vegetation model identity. Archived surface code 865 selects the same soil code as lawn code 860 but carries a distinct surface label.
Targetsupported
The record stores soil properties in the common land-cover target so the same soil tuple can be selected by distinct grass/low-vegetation surface identities.
Valuessupported
The citable archived dataset directly supplies the exact executable tuple 349 mm, 150 mm, 0.0005 and 1.16 and intentionally reuses soil code 70 for both lawn and mixed-low-vegetation rows. Havu Table B.1 independently reports the rounded grass depth and capacity as 0.35 and 0.15 m. The duplicate records therefore preserve one shared input, not two independent determinations.
Sourcesupported
The Zenodo dataset is the direct source for the complete exact tuple and low-vegetation selection. The journal article separately supports the rounded grass depth/capacity and the study-site context.
Placesupported
The publication and archive identify the grass/low-vegetation parameterisation as a Helsinki application.
Representativenesssupported
Site is the supported evidence reach because Appendix B.4 derives the grass soil and biogenic parameterisation from one urban-lawn eddy-covariance site in the Helsinki metropolitan region; later citywide use does not turn that determination into city evidence.
issue #236
Methodsupported
Literature records direct transcription of the citable archived dataset, checked against the associated publication; the database does not refit or independently calculate the duplicate tuple.
Identitysupported
The stable path, distinct name and legacy ID preserve the mixed-low-vegetation selection even though its values equal the Below Grass record. Keeping both semantic records makes the archived lawn/low-vegetation choice traceable; it does not claim two parameter determinations.
issue #236

Scientific note

The exact duplicate is intentional configuration reuse, not a second parameter determination. The citable archive assigns soil code 70 to both lawn and mixed-low-vegetation surfaces, while Havu Table B.1 publishes one rounded Grass soil row. Retaining two stable semantic records preserves those separate selections while the sidecar makes their shared evidence explicit. Values and identity remain unchanged; representativeness is narrowed from city to the observation site that supports the parameterisation.
