alb | 0.12 Ao 2016 source bounds 0.12–0.14 · active minimum |
Applies to: parameters.alb
Where: Table 2, Paved column, alpha_i minimum and maximum (accepted manuscript), p. 13
Publishes Paved albedo minimum 0.12 and maximum 0.14. Neither cell carries the source superscripts used elsewhere in the table. parameters.alb stores the minimum and its canonical source_bounds preserve the complete pair.
Where: Section 3.4, evaluation of a radiation parameterization scheme (accepted manuscript), p. 12
Describes the Table 2 values as inputs to the XJH SUEWS and NARP runs evaluated over the radiometer field of view and eddy-covariance source area.
Where: Pre-migration Albedo row 41240030
Preserves Paved, Shanghai, Alb_min 0.12, Alb_max 0.14 and Ref 90240065, which resolves to Ao et al. This establishes migration fidelity, not a policy for collapsing the pair to one scalar.
| Name | supported Ao et al. Table 2 and the pre-migration row both identify the surface as Paved. |
|---|---|
| Target | supported Table 2 presents the values as SUEWS Paved-surface albedo inputs, matching land_cover.paved. |
| Values | supported Ao et al. publish a Paved minimum of 0.12 and maximum of 0.14. The active alb value preserves the lower endpoint exactly, and canonical source_bounds now preserve the upper endpoint and explicitly identify the active scalar as the published minimum without changing model behaviour. issue #339 |
| Source | supported Ao et al. directly print both Paved cells without a source superscript. The legacy row preserves the migration link to that publication, while parameter_provenance.source_bounds now carries both endpoints as canonical field-level metadata. |
| Place | supported The values are model inputs for the Xujiahui Shanghai study site. |
| Representativeness | supported The paper applies the inputs at the Xujiahui site and evaluates the radiometer field of view and eddy-covariance source area, supporting site rather than city reach. |
| Urban Setting | supported The study identifies Xujiahui as a central business district. |
| Method | supported Literature records the database action of adopting Ao et al.'s directly published SUEWS input bounds. It does not claim that the underlying albedos were measured or fitted by Ao et al. |
| Identity | supported The publication and pre-migration row preserve the Paved, Shanghai and legacy-ID identity. The former legacy-only maximum now also has a canonical home under the active albedo leaf's source_bounds; legacy.Alb_max remains as verbatim migration lineage. |
Ao et al. publish the Paved albedo bounds as 0.12 and 0.14, while SUEWS accepts one alb scalar. Canonical source_bounds now preserve the pair, state that the active 0.12 is the source minimum, render the pair on the record page and carry it in the exported RefValue description. This removes the silent migration loss without averaging the bounds, replacing the active value or changing the SUEWS data model. The maximum is no longer legacy-only: field-level provenance carries its canonical meaning while legacy.Alb_max retains the original column for migration fidelity.
