Plant parameter values for models in Temperate climatesParameter source

Where: Table 7, parameter values for land covers in global temperate ecosystems, p. 286

Publishes maximum stomatal conductance gs of 33.1 mm s-1 for herbs, forbs and grasses.

The Surface Urban Energy and Water Balance Scheme (SUEWS): Evaluation in Los Angeles and Vancouver.Later compilation

Where: Table 2, model parameter values by surface type, p. 223

Republishes gi,max 33.1 mm s-1 for unirrigated grass and attributes the vegetation parameter lineage to Breuer et al. (2003).

Surface Urban Energy and Water Balance Scheme (SUEWS): Development and evaluation at two UK sitesLater compilation

Where: Sect. 3.2, model setup and parameters, p. 6

Establishes the later two-site UK application context but does not publish the 33.1 conductance.

Assessment findings

Namecuration required
Grass follows Järvi's mapping of the Breuer herbs, forbs and grasses category, but the SE England qualifier is application context rather than the scope of the published statistic.
Targetsupported
Järvi maps the grass maximum conductance to the SUEWS grass surface category.
Valuessupported
Breuer et al. (2003) Table 7 publishes maximum stomatal conductance of 33.1 mm s-1 for herbs, forbs and grasses, exactly matching the stored value.
Sourcesupported
Breuer et al. directly publish the exact maximum. Järvi et al. later compile 33.1 into the SUEWS vegetation table, while Ward et al. apply the configuration without republishing the parameter.
issue #150
Placecuration required
Breuer reports a global temperate vegetation statistic, not an SE England determination. The stable place retains later application context and still needs curation.
Representativenesscuration required
The parameter is a literature maximum compiled across temperate herbs, forbs and grasses. Calling the migrated application record regional SE England evidence is not established by the source.
Methodsupported
The record transcribes a summary statistic published in earlier literature.
Identitycuration required
The related generic record carries the same value and source. Whether this stable SE England application path should remain as a separate quoted-default record is a curation decision; this source correction neither deletes nor merges it.

Scientific note

The citation defect is settled without changing the value: Breuer et al. (2003) publishes the exact 33.1 mm s-1 maximum for herbs, forbs and grasses, and Järvi et al. later compile it for unirrigated grass in SUEWS; Ward et al. do not publish it. The stable SE England path, name, place and regional class are retained as migration/application identity rather than being treated as Breuer evidence. Human curation is still required because an equivalent generic Breuer record exists.
