lai.base_temperature | 6 |
lai.base_temperature_senescence | 11 |
lai.gdd_full | 300 Järvi 2011 |
lai.sdd_full | -450 Järvi 2011 |
Applies to: parameters.lai.base_temperature, parameters.lai.base_temperature_senescence
Where: Section 4.1, Seasonal cycle of vegetation phenology, p. 7
States that the growing-degree-day base temperature was raised from 5 to 6 degrees C for the Swindon and London applications and that the senescence base temperature was set to 11 degrees C.
Applies to: parameters.lai.gdd_full, parameters.lai.sdd_full
Where: Equation 4, dynamic daily LAI, p. 221
Defines the daily LAI response to growing and senescence degree days and their base temperatures.
Where: Table 2b, general model run options, p. 223
Publishes GDD 300 and SDD -450 as general model-run options, rather than SE England-specific values.
| Name | supported Ward et al. evaluate vegetation phenology for the Swindon and London UK applications. The stable target and name identify this copy of the shared settings as the evergreen-tree record. |
|---|---|
| Target | supported Ward Section 4.1 and Järvi Equation 4 define the growing- and senescence-degree-day controls represented by the four nested lai fields. |
| Values | supported Ward states base temperatures 6 and 11 degrees C for the UK applications. Järvi Table 2b publishes the inherited general run options GDD 300 and SDD -450. No value is changed. issue #141 |
| Source | supported Ward remains the source for the two UK base temperatures, while parameter-level overrides identify Järvi 2011 as the original publication for gdd_full and sdd_full. issue #141 |
| Place | supported Ward supports the SE England application context for the two base temperatures. Järvi presents GDD and SDD as general model-run options, supporting the generic place override for those leaves. |
| Representativeness | supported Ward applies the base temperatures at both UK sites and relates the growth threshold to latitude, supporting the regional envelope. Järvi publishes GDD and SDD as general options, supporting their generic overrides rather than attributing them specifically to SE England. |
| Method | supported Ward increased or set the base temperatures as application choices, and Järvi Table 2b states GDD and SDD as general run options. Assumed is therefore the supported method for all four leaves. |
| Identity | supported The stable path, evergreen-tree target and legacy ID retain the migrated SE England phenology identity; field-level provenance changes no parameter or record identity. |
Ward et al. document the UK base-temperature choices but not the inherited GDD and SDD thresholds. Järvi et al. (2011) is the original publication that states those thresholds as general model-run options. The record keeps its whole four-value phenology tuple and stable identity while exporting the correct citation and scope for each leaf.
