CO2 uptake of urban vegetation in a warming Nordic cityParameter source

Applies to: parameters.beta_bio_co2

Where: Table B.1 and Appendix B.2, evergreen parameterisation, p. 11

Publishes beta 7.0 for the evergreen configurations and locates its forest fit at SMEAR II in Hyytiälä, Finland.

Carbon sequestration potential of street tree plantings in HelsinkiInput observations

Applies to: parameters.resp_a, parameters.resp_b

Where: Table 2, model parameters for the Viikki street-tree site, p. 2127

Publishes the fitted respiration coefficients 0.78 and 0.08 for deciduous Tilia at Viikki; it does not itself publish an evergreen parameter row.

Data used in manuscript CO2 uptake of urban vegetation in a warming Nordic cityParameter source

Applies to: parameters.resp_a, parameters.resp_b

Where: Input_met/SUEWS_BiogenCO2.txt code 3021 and SUEWS_Veg.txt code 842

Code 3021 explicitly stores the complete Helsinki evergreen-street tuple with respiration coefficients 0.78 and 0.08 and identifies Viikki Tilia reuse; vegetation code 842 selects it.

Modelling the biogenic CO2 exchange in urban and non-urban ecosystems through the assessment of light-response curve parametersParameter source

Applies to: parameters.alpha_bio_co2, parameters.theta_bio_co2

Where: Table 4, Helsinki local light-response parameters, p. 6

Publishes alpha 0.031 and theta 0.723 from one Botanical Garden eddy-covariance sector in Helsinki.

Spatial Modeling of Local-Scale Biogenic and Anthropogenic Carbon Dioxide emissions in HelsinkiParameter source

Applies to: parameters.min_res_bioco2

Where: Equation 11 and Appendix B, minimum respiration, p. 5

Publishes the 0.6 minimum respiration floor from winter chamber measurements at a boreal-forest site in central Finland.

Assessment findings

Namesupported
The label identifies the published parameter class or model configuration.
Targetsupported
The source uses the parameter for the same SUEWS target represented by the record.
Valuessupported
Havu et al. (2024) publish the fitted evergreen beta 7.0, and the citable Havu archive explicitly assigns respiration coefficients 0.78 and 0.08 to evergreen-street code 3021. Havu et al. (2022) documents the underlying deciduous Tilia fit rather than publishing an evergreen parameter row. Bellucco supports alpha and theta; Järvi supports the 0.6 floor.
Sourcesupported
Parameter-level provenance assigns beta to Havu et al. (2024), the explicit evergreen reuse of respiration coefficients to the Havu archive, alpha and theta to Bellucco, and the floor to Järvi. Havu et al. (2022) is retained only as the input-data lineage for the Tilia fit being reused.
Placesupported
The beta fit and floor are site evidence from Finland; the archived respiration reuse is tied to the Viikki/Helsinki street configuration, and Bellucco is another Helsinki site.
Representativenesssupported
Each fitted, reused or assumed leaf is site-scoped rather than inheriting city reach from the later Helsinki configuration.
Methodsupported
The record-level literature method describes adoption of the released Havu configuration. Parameter overrides identify beta as fitted, the evergreen reuse of Tilia respiration as a literature configuration value, Bellucco alpha/theta as fitted and the floor as assumed.
Identitysupported
Stable path, target, source and values identify one retained database record.

Scientific note

Parameter-level provenance now records the mixed tuple without changing any value or stable identity. Havu et al. (2024) publish the fitted evergreen beta; their citable archive explicitly records reuse of the Viikki Tilia respiration pair in evergreen code 3021; Havu et al. (2022) supplies that underlying deciduous fit without being misrepresented as an evergreen source. Bellucco publishes alpha and theta, and Järvi publishes the 0.6 floor. Leaf scopes remain site-specific.
