lai.lai_power.growth_lai | 0.04 Järvi 2014 |
lai.lai_power.growth_gdd | 0.0005 Järvi 2011 |
lai.lai_power.senescence_lai | -1.5 Järvi 2014 |
lai.lai_power.senescence_sdd | 0.0025 |
lai.lai_type | 1 UMEP-dev 2020 |
Applies to: parameters.lai.lai_power.senescence_sdd
Where: Supplement Table S3, Parameters used by SUEWS model, Trees column, p. 3
Publishes growth_lai 0.04, growth_gdd 0.0005, senescence_lai -1.5 and senescence_sdd 0.0025. The reference column credits the first three to Järvi et al. 2011/2014 and identifies the final Järvi 2014 coefficient as modified.
Where: Table A1, SUEWS phenology equation, p. 2155
Prints the power-form daily LAI equation used by SUEWS in the Zurich model comparison.
Where: Title, abstract and Section 2.1, p. 2133
Defines the study domain as four urban parks in Zurich and identifies the park-level evaluation.
Applies to: parameters.lai.lai_power.growth_lai, parameters.lai.lai_power.senescence_lai
Where: Appendix A, Leaf area index, Equation A1, p. 1707
Publishes the modified LAI power formulation, including growth_lai 0.04, senescence_lai -1.5 and the original senescence_sdd factor 0.0015.
Applies to: parameters.lai.lai_power.growth_gdd
Where: Section 2.2, Leaf area index, Equation 4, p. 221
Publishes the 0.0005 degree-day factor inherited as growth_gdd in Table S3.
Applies to: parameters.lai.lai_type
Where: LAIEq and Leaf Growth/Off Power entries, p. 88
Defines LAIEq 1 as the Järvi et al. 2014 formulation and lists its characteristic 0.04 and -1.5 power coefficients, distinguishing it from LAIEq 0.
| Name | supported Stagakis et al. print the Järvi-style power phenology equation used by SUEWS, and the official v2020a documentation maps that formulation to LAIEq 1. The retained name therefore describes the published model configuration. |
|---|---|
| Target | supported Supplement Table S3 assigns the four LAI-power coefficients to its Trees column, matching land_cover.dectr in this retained deciduous-tree record. |
| Values | supported Table S3 publishes the complete stored tuple 0.04, 0.0005, -1.5 and 0.0025. Järvi et al. publish the inherited leaves; Stagakis et al. explicitly mark the final 0.0025 senescence factor as a modification of the Järvi 2014 value. |
| Source | supported The envelope source remains the publication that reports and applies the exact mixed tuple. Parameter-level provenance now attributes growth_lai and senescence_lai to Järvi 2014, growth_gdd to Järvi 2011, and the selector semantics to the official v2020a documentation; Stagakis remains the source of the modified senescence_sdd leaf. issue #1085 |
| Place | supported Zurich is the documented application location for the exact mixed tuple. The parameter-level overrides distinguish publication sources but do not claim place-free reach for the inherited leaves; every leaf retains the Zurich site application envelope. |
| Representativeness | supported The study evaluates SUEWS in four named Zurich parks, not as a city-wide determination. Site is therefore the supported envelope reach. |
| Method | supported Literature records direct adoption of the exact parameterisation published in Table S3; the database performs no new fit or transformation. |
| Identity | supported The stable path, target and legacy ID identify the Zurich deciduous-tree configuration. The source gives one Trees tuple, so identical tree coefficients in the sibling target records are intentional rather than accidental duplicates. |
The apparent blocker came from treating a mixed published tuple as if every leaf had one origin. Stagakis et al. publish and apply the exact four-value tuple in Zurich. Their reference column traces three leaves to Järvi et al. and marks the fourth as modified; parameter_provenance now preserves those roles. Table A1 and the official v2020a LAIEq definition together establish selector 1. The exact values, stable path, target, origin and legacy ID are unchanged. The active envelope reach is narrowed from city to site because the study covers four parks.
