Where: Table 3(b), Prof2 Arcadia external-water-use profile, p. 224
Gives period shares 0.40 for 20:00-07:00, 0.40 for 07:00-16:00 and 0.20 for 16:00-20:00, marks Prof2 as Arcadia data from Grimmond et al. (1996), and states that a constant amount is assumed for each hour within a delineated period.
Where: Table 4, Arcadia Ar93 and Ar94 measurement sites, p. 225
Places both Arcadia datasets at 34 degrees 08 minutes N, 118 degrees 03 minutes W, gives each a 78.5 ha study area, and assigns the external-water-use profile Prof2 to both.
Where: External water use methodology and complete article, p. 47-57
Documents questionnaires and bi-monthly billing data for the Arcadia and San Gabriel neighborhoods, but publishes neither the three Prof2 period shares nor a 24-hour automatic-irrigation vector.
Where: Complete article, p. 1-15
Studies European anthropogenic heat flux with LUCY. It does not discuss irrigation, Los Angeles water use or this automatic-water-use profile.
Where: V2016a SUEWS_Profiles.txt, code 12
Stores 0.04 at hours 00:00-15:00 and 20:00-23:00, 0.05 at 16:00-19:00, and labels the vector Automatic LA Water Use Profile values.
Where: Pre-migration Profiles row 60240001
Preserves the exact vector as a Los Angeles weekend automatic-water-use row and records Ref 90240006, the disproved Lindberg migration link retained as source_legacy_ref.
| Name | supported The retained old-code name is the stable migration identity shared by the release code and pre-migration row; it does not claim that code 12 is a publication identifier. |
|---|---|
| Target | supported Järvi et al. describe Prof2 as an external-water-use profile, and the release table labels code 12 as an automatic Los Angeles water-use profile. |
| Values | supported Table 3 gives Arcadia Prof2 period shares 0.40, 0.40 and 0.20 and states that water use is constant in each hour of a delineated period. Dividing by 11, 9 and 4 hours and rounding to two decimals produces 0.04, 0.04 and 0.05 at exactly the hours stored by code 12. |
| Source | supported Unreferenced is correct for the derived 24-value vector because Järvi et al. publish its three period inputs, not the rounded hourly outputs. Grimmond et al. document the underlying Los Angeles water-use observations but not the shares, while Lindberg et al. contain no irrigation profile. source_legacy_ref 90240006 preserves the disproved migration link without exporting it as parameter provenance. issue #367 |
| Place | supported Table 4 locates both Ar93 and Ar94 at the Arcadia measurement site, gives its coordinates as 34 degrees 08 minutes N, 118 degrees 03 minutes W, and assigns Prof2 to both datasets. issue #370 |
| Representativeness | supported The article analyses individual model grid areas rather than a larger area, and Table 4 reports the Arcadia study area as 78.5 ha. Site therefore reflects the evidence reach without claiming Los Angeles city-wide sampling. issue #370 |
| Method | supported Calculated records the deterministic conversion of three published period-total fractions into constant hourly fractions with two-decimal rounding. |
| Identity | supported The pinned release's code 12 vector and Automatic LA label match legacy row 60240001 exactly. The stable path, origin, legacy ID and values preserve that migrated identity. |
other · round(period_fraction / hours_in_period, 2) · Convert the three Prof2 period-total fractions to constant hourly fractions and round each result to two decimal places.
Close-reading Table 3 resolves the relationship that the issue initially left open: its caption requires a constant hourly amount within each delineated period, and dividing the Arcadia Prof2 shares by their period lengths produces the exact code 12 vector. The record therefore changes from a false Lindberg citation to an unreferenced database calculation over published inputs. The original Grimmond study establishes the observation lineage but does not print the shares, so it is not credited with the derived output. Table 4 now resolves the profile's evidence location and scale as the 78.5 ha Arcadia measurement site. The stable path, legacy Los Angeles origin string, source, method, source_legacy_ref, values and legacy ID remain unchanged.
