SUEWS v2016a release workbook: SUEWS_SiteInfo18_Lo.xlsmLater compilation

Where: Original database.xlsx Irrigation row 61240005

The original workbook at commit 053c004^ stores Vancouver, active controls 152-243, 0, 0.2 and all-one daily permissions, the six compatibility coefficients, and Ref 99240099. The linked pre-migration YAML is its row-for-row public transcript.

SUEWS v2016a release workbook: SUEWS_SiteInfo18_Lo.xlsmLater compilation

Where: SUEWS v2016a release workbook, SUEWS_Irrigation code 1

The pinned workbook row exactly preserves the complete tuple from row 61240005 as code 1.

Where: Fixed v2016a SUEWS_Irrigation code 1 transcript

The text fixture independently exposes the same exact code-1 tuple for line-level review.

The Surface Urban Energy and Water Balance Scheme (SUEWS): Evaluation in Los Angeles and Vancouver.Validation

Where: Equation 5, external irrigation model, p. 221

Defines automatic and manual irrigation using faut and site-specific fitted coefficients.

Where: Table 2, general model run options, p. 223

Publishes rounded coefficients -84.54, 9.96, 3.67, -25.36, 3.00 and 1.10, consistent with the release coefficients only at the shown precision.

Where: Table 4, Vancouver site characteristics, p. 225

Gives all four Vancouver irrigation periods as 121-243 and Vs87 faut 0.01, not the release row's 152-243 and 0.2.

Where: Section 4.3, external water use, p. 228

States that the automatic coefficients were fitted with Vs87 faut 0.01 and the manual coefficients were set to 0.30 times the automatic coefficients.

Assessment findings

Namesupported
Archived Vancouver irrigation configuration identifies the retained application row without presenting its mixed controls and compatibility coefficients as one published parameter tuple.
issue #268
Targetsupported
The original workbook stores the row in Irrigation and the pinned release preserves it as SUEWS_Irrigation code 1, matching the irrigation target.
Valuessupported
The exact active controls and non-exported legacy coefficients are preserved from workbook row 61240005 and release code 1. Järvi et al. (2011) instead publishes Vancouver irrigation periods of 121-243 and Vs87 faut 0.01; its fitted coefficients match the retained legacy values only at the publication's rounded precision. No value is changed or reassigned to the article.
Sourcesupported
Unreferenced is correct for this mixed archived tuple. Legacy Ref 99240099 is itself the unreferenced placeholder, so it does not warrant a redundant source_legacy_ref and cannot make Järvi et al. (2011) the record source.
issue #268
Placesupported
Vancouver is the explicit origin of workbook row 61240005. It records the intended application identity, not a claim that every control was measured across Vancouver.
Representativenesssupported
City limits the catalogue entry to its labelled Vancouver application scope. It does not assert that the complete configuration is empirically representative or transferable.
Methodsupported
Assumed classifies the active exported controls as a retained application configuration. The fitted Eq. 5 coefficients remain only in the non-exported legacy compatibility block and are documented separately rather than used to label the mixed record as fitted or literature.
issue #268
Identitysupported
Legacy ID 61240005, Vancouver origin and the exact release code-1 tuple establish this archived configuration identity. The stable path, origin and legacy ID remain unchanged.

Scientific note

The complete row is fully traceable as an archived Vancouver application configuration, but it is not the tuple published by Järvi et al. (2011). The original database workbook and pinned v2016a release both preserve start day 152, end day 243, faut 0.2, daily all-one controls and the six legacy coefficients. The paper publishes start day 121 for all Vancouver sites and faut 0.01 for Vs87; it reports the fitted coefficients at lower precision and describes the manual coefficients as 0.30 of the automatic values. Because the active exported controls are release configuration choices and the fitted values are retained only as non-exported compatibility metadata, the record remains unreferenced and is classified as assumed. Ref 99240099 is an unreferenced placeholder, not a source lineage identifier. No value, stable path, origin or legacy ID is changed.
