Fills the albedo slot. The record declares target land_cover.paved, name Paved, place helsinki, representativeness site, source jarvi2014 and method fitted, and carries alb.
Fills the emissivity slot. The record declares target land_cover.paved, name 'Grey/white Concrete, New', place london, representativeness site and source kotthaus2014, and carries emis.
Fills water_storage. The stable Helsinki-path record declares target land_cover.paved, name 'Paved ', place generic, representativeness generic, applicable_scale land_cover, source jarvi2011 and method literature. Its Helsinki origin preserves migration/application lineage; the value is published as a generic Pavement parameter and carries store_min and store_max under storage_drain_params.
Fills the drainage slot. The record declares target land_cover.paved, name Paved, place generic, representativeness generic and source jarvi2011, and carries drain_eq, drain_coef_1, drain_coef_2 and wet_threshold.
Fills the construction slot. The record declares target construction, name Archived internal construction fixture, place generic, representativeness generic, source unreferenced and method assumed, and carries roof and wall layer lists with roof_insulation_layer and wall_insulation_layer. scripts/export_record.py keeps the construction slot out of the surface fragment, so this reference contributes no exported value.
Fills the snow_lim_patch slot. The stable path and origin retain Helsinki migration lineage, while the record declares target land_cover.paved, name Paved, place generic, representativeness generic, applicable_scale land_cover, source jarvi2014 and method literature, and carries snowpack_limit.
Fills all four ohm positions, summer_wet, summer_dry, winter_wet and winter_dry. The record declares target ohm_coefficients, name 'Impervious (average). This is the average of Codes 801, 802, 901, 902, 903, 905, 906. [800]' and source unreferenced, carries a1, a2 and a3, and declares no place, no representativeness and no season_label.
| Composite identity | supported The composite's name reads 'Asphalt, mixed city', its place reads sweden, which db/places.yml records as kind: country, and its origin reads Sweden. The label names a paving material and a settlement type for a country-scale default, which is what the entry assembles. It says nothing about where the components come from, which is dealt with under place. |
|---|---|
| Composite target | supported The composite declares target land_cover.paved. The albedo, emissivity, water_storage, drainage and snow_lim_patch slots each take a record declaring target land_cover.paved; the construction slot takes a record declaring target construction and the four ohm positions take records declaring target ohm_coefficients, which are the entry types those slots exist for. Surface records carry no attaches_to field, since attaches_to appears in this database only on the profile records under records/profiles/, so the slot check rests on the parameters each component carries: alb into albedo, emis into emissivity, store_min and store_max into water_storage, drain_eq, drain_coef_1, drain_coef_2 and wet_threshold into drainage, snowpack_limit into snow_lim_patch, and a1, a2 and a3 into each ohm position. The water_storage and drainage components both write into storage_drain_params and their keys do not overlap, so neither overrides the other. records/ohm/generic--unreferenced--paved declares no season_label, so filling all four season and wetness positions from it asserts no seasonal split the record itself denies. |
| Own parameter values | not applicable The composite declares no parameters of its own, so it overrides no component value; every number in its exported fragment arrives from a component. |
| Composition rationale | not applicable The composite declares no source field and the repository records no published rationale for this selection. Each component's own source belongs to that component's evidence assessment, not to this review. |
| Place applicability | supported The composite declares place sweden. No component declares that place, and none could: the database holds no paved surface record and no OHM record for Sweden. The albedo slot takes a Helsinki record, water_storage and snow_lim_patch take generic literature records, and the emissivity slot takes records/surfaces/paved/generic--kotthaus2014--emissivity--grey-white-concrete-new with place london, the drainage slot takes records/surfaces/paved/london--jarvi2011--drainage with place generic, and records/ohm/generic--unreferenced--paved declares no place. The Swedish records the database does hold are four building-fabric records under records/constructions/ and the two LUCY profile records; the construction slot takes the generic placeholder instead, as every one of the seven paved archetypes does, and that slot contributes no exported value because scripts/export_record.py keeps construction out of the surface fragment. Borrowing is therefore forced in every slot that carries a number. |
| Representativeness | curation required The composite declares representativeness regional, the class this database uses for country-scale and subnational entries. The fitted Helsinki albedo and London emissivity declare site; water storage, snow limit, drainage and construction declare generic; and records/ohm/generic--unreferenced--paved declares no representativeness at all. A country default therefore publishes one Helsinki site fit and one London site value as though they were representative of Sweden, alongside generic defaults. Nothing in the database closes the gap, since no Swedish paved record of any class exists, so a maintainer has to decide whether the entry keeps the regional class, is reclassified, or is withdrawn. |
| Slot and season mapping | supported An assembly of seven existing records into eleven slot positions; the composite produces no value of its own. |
| Completeness and uniqueness | supported The composite fills all seven slots the land_cover.paved archetypes use, so the assembly is complete, and it is the only Swedish paved typology in the database. Its uses block is not shared: it takes six of its seven components from the same rows as archetypes/surfaces/paved/helsinki--city-centre and differs in the emissivity slot, which takes records/surfaces/paved/generic--kotthaus2014--emissivity--grey-white-concrete-new here and the Helsinki emissivity record there. records/surfaces/paved/se-england--ward2016--water-state carries state_limit and is referenced by no archetype, but no land_cover.paved archetype anywhere declares a water_state slot, so that is a target-wide design question rather than an omission in this entry. |
This is a country-scale default assembled from borrowed city, site and generic rows. archetypes/surfaces/paved/sweden--asphalt-mixed-city declares place sweden and representativeness regional, and then takes a site-fitted albedo and a generic literature water storage, snowpack limit and drainage, a London/site spectral-library emissivity for grey and white concrete, and four OHM positions from a generic row whose source field reads unreferenced. The place side of that is not a defect: the database holds no Swedish paved record of any kind, so borrowing is forced, and borrowing across places is the design docs/FORMAT.md describes. The class side is the finding. One Helsinki site fit and one London site measurement are standing in for a country. A reader taking this entry as Sweden's paved default is taking those values as representative of a country spanning far more than one climate. The database offers no way to fix that by re-pointing a slot, so the decision is about the entry rather than about its components: keep the regional class and say what justifies it, reclassify the entry to the scale its evidence actually supports, or withdraw it. The Swedish building-fabric records under records/constructions/ do not bear on this, because the construction slot contributes nothing to a paved surface fragment. The drainage record is now documented as generic literature evidence; the unreferenced source on the OHM record remains a question for that record's own evidence review.
