storage_drain_params.drain_eq | 3 |
storage_drain_params.drain_coef_1 | 10 |
storage_drain_params.drain_coef_2 | 3 |
wet_threshold | 0.6 |
Where: Section 2.1, Equations 3 and 4, p. 651
Equation 4 is the non-vegetated drainage formulation and gives D0 10 mm h-1 and b 3; Equation 3 is the distinct vegetated formulation.
Where: Table 1, paved-surface parameters, p. 652
The Paved column gives threshold for wet evaporation 0.60 mm.
Where: SUEWS 2017b SUEWS_NonVeg.txt, Swindon paved row
Row 551 stores DrainageEq 3, DrainageCoef1 10, DrainageCoef2 3 and WetThreshold 0.6.
Where: Table 1, land cover within 500 m of the flux mast, p. 4647
The suburban Swindon study area is characterised within a 500 m radius, supporting the existing site-scale classification but not the drainage values.
| Name | supported Paved corresponds to Ward et al.'s non-vegetated paved surface class. |
|---|---|
| Target | supported The drainage equation, coefficients and wet threshold are parameters of the paved surface. |
| Values | supported Ward et al. give non-vegetated surfaces D0 10 mm h-1 and b 3, and Table 1 gives paved wet threshold 0.60 mm; the official SUEWS 2017b Swindon paved row independently carries equation 3, 10, 3 and 0.6. |
| Source | supported Ward et al. (2018) directly state the corrected drainage formulation and parameter values; Ward et al. (2013) do not publish a drainage tuple. |
| Place | supported The parameter set is used for the Swindon paved surface in the official SUEWS release, and Ward et al. (2013) document the Swindon study context retained by this legacy record. |
| Representativeness | supported Site representativeness matches the suburban study area characterised within 500 m of the flux mast. |
| Method | supported The stored tuple is taken from a published model formulation and its released SUEWS input, so literature is the supported method. |
| Identity | supported One internally consistent non-vegetated drainage tuple is associated with the legacy Swindon paved record. |
The legacy record path and origin retain the 2013 study association, but Ward et al. (2013) publish no drainage tuple. Ward et al. (2018) distinguish the non-vegetated drainage equation from the vegetation equation and support the corrected 10 and 3 coefficients together with a 0.60 mm paved wet threshold. The official SUEWS 2017b Swindon row independently confirms the complete tuple. The prior 0.013 and 1.71 pair belonged to the vegetation formulation and was not valid for this paved record.
