max_conductance | 3.1 |
Where: Table 7, parameter values for land covers in global temperate ecosystems, p. 286
Publishes median stomatal conductance gs of 3.1 mm s-1 for deciduous forest, based on 82 compiled values.
Where: Appendix B, Table B.1, Site characteristics and used model parameters for Helsinki, p. 11
Publishes gmax 3.1 mm s-1 for both Street and Park vegetation in a later Helsinki configuration.
Where: Supplement Table S3, Parameters used by SUEWS model, p. 3
Uses one Trees column and publishes no maximum-conductance or G1 row.
Where: Title, abstract and Sect. 2.4.1, p. 2133, 2140
Establishes the four-park Zurich application context and a single model Trees class.
| Name | supported Deciduous Tree matches the deciduous-forest category for which Breuer et al. publish the stored conductance. |
|---|---|
| Target | supported Maximum vegetation conductance is a property of the land_cover.dectr target. |
| Values | supported Breuer et al. (2003) Table 7 publishes median stomatal conductance of 3.1 mm s-1 for deciduous forest, exactly matching the stored value. |
| Source | supported Breuer et al. directly publish the exact deciduous-forest value. Havu et al. later publish 3.1 for Helsinki Street and Park vegetation, while Stagakis et al. publish no maximum-conductance row; both are compilation or application context rather than the upstream parameter source. issue #218 |
| Place | curation required The value is a global-temperate deciduous-forest literature statistic rather than a Zurich-derived measurement. The stable Zurich field retains application context, which still needs curation. |
| Representativeness | curation required Breuer et al. compile a global temperate forest category, while the Zurich study evaluates four urban parks and does not derive a city-wide deciduous-tree conductance. Whether this applied literature value should remain city-classed requires curation. |
| Method | supported The record transcribes a summary statistic published in earlier literature. |
| Identity | curation required Breuer distinguishes deciduous forest, but Havu publishes the same value for Street and Park vegetation and Stagakis uses one Trees parameter class. The source correction does not settle whether separate Zurich deciduous and evergreen conductance records should remain. |
The parameter source is now settled: Breuer et al. (2003) Table 7 publishes 3.1 mm s-1 as the median stomatal conductance for deciduous forest, while Stagakis et al. do not print a maximum-conductance value. Havu et al. later publish the same value for Helsinki Street and Park vegetation, providing compilation context rather than the upstream citation. The stable path and Zurich place retain application context, not an assertion that the value was derived there. Human curation is still needed for the city-scale claim and tree-class identity because Breuer reports a global temperate forest category, while Stagakis parameterises one Trees class rather than separate deciduous and evergreen classes.
