Where: Table 1(a), development coefficients for OHM, rooftop — Vancouver, p. 314
Lists author Yap (1973) and coefficients a1 0.17, a2 0.10 h and a3 -17.0 W m-2.
This is the publication that performs and reports the OHM parameterisation.
Where: Figure 8, Vancouver School Board building site plan, p. 32
Labels the main experimental area and building roof as gravel and tar.
Establishes the physical observation surface and site, not the later OHM coefficients.
Where: Chapter 6, Urban Energy Balance, p. 131-158
Reports roof-top net-radiation and heat-storage observations used by the later OHM parameterisation.
Original observational lineage is kept distinct from the Grimmond et al. coefficient fit.
Uses code 713 with Meyn codes 701-707 in its documented eight-input arithmetic mean.
| Name | supported Grimmond et al. identify the Vancouver summer rooftop row, while Yap's site plan identifies the observed Vancouver School Board surface as a gravel-and-tar roof. Code 713 is retained legacy identity. |
|---|---|
| Target | supported Table 1(a) presents the triplet as development coefficients for the Objective Hysteresis Model. |
| Values | supported Table 1(a) states 0.17, 0.10 h and -17.0 W m-2 exactly for the Vancouver rooftop row. |
| Source | supported Grimmond et al. are the parameter publication that states the OHM fit. Yap's earlier thesis supplies the roof observations and must not be credited with coefficients it does not publish. |
| Place | supported Both publications locate the rooftop observations in Vancouver, British Columbia. |
| Representativeness | supported The observations concern the Vancouver School Board building roof, supporting site rather than city scope. |
| Applicable Scale | supported The fitted tuple comes from the Vancouver School Board tar-and-gravel roof observations, so the described unit is the monitored roof facet. issue #46 |
| Method | supported Grimmond et al. present fitted OHM development coefficients derived from Yap's observational dataset. |
| Identity | supported The exact tuple and Vancouver rooftop label identify one source row; the related Helsinki record uses this record as one of eight explicit arithmetic-mean inputs. |
The canonical source remains Grimmond et al. (1991) because that paper states the fitted OHM tuple. Yap (1973) is now recorded separately as the original Vancouver gravel-and-tar roof observation source. This preserves the distinction between observations and parameter publication. No canonical value, place, scope, path or production method changes.
